Rates
A 50 minute session is $120. However, I do offer a reduced fee on a case by case basis, so please inquire about it during our initial phone consultation.
Do you take insurance?
No, I do not take insurance. However, if you have Out of Network benefits, I can provide you with a receipt (called a Superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company to find out the specific details. Please note: this requires a diagnosis code that will become part of your permanent medical record.
Why don’t you take insurance?
There are a few reasons why I do not take insurance. One issue is confidentiality. Insurance companies require a diagnosis code, which becomes a part of your permanent medical record. This could affect you negatively when you apply for insurance in the future, including higher insurance premiums or denial of coverage. Insurance companies require information be sent to them about your session to justify payment. A second issue is that insurance companies, if they pay, put limits on how many sessions they will cover. Many of the reasons why people seek therapy are not covered by insurance, including couples therapy, relationship issues, grief, or adjusting to life transitions. .
Payment
I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
