Faith-Based, or Christian counseling, focuses on your spiritual health, personal relationship with God, and the belief that, with therapy, personal problems, mental health issues, and emotional distress can be replaced with increased self-worth and spiritual fulfillment. For clients wanting to incorporate their faith into therapy, this approach uses scripture, prayer, and biblical teaching – by request. My Christian faith informs my view of pain, healing, and forgiveness, but I work with clients of all backgrounds and respect their individual beliefs.
